The BC Summer Games, which take place 22 to 25 July 2010, will see participants, coaches and officials converge on our community for baseball, basketball, sailing, field hockey, swimming, volleyball, rugby and other sports competitions.

This is a large event, and - just like the Olympics - relies heavily upon volunteer labour. Organizers estimate that roughly one volunteer is need for each of the 3,200 expected participants. Recruitment of volunteers has already begun, so if you have any interest in becoming involved, please check out the website www.bcgames.org, or better yet, phone our friend and newsletter fan, Stan Tonoski, at 604-881-2010, who claims he has been dragooned into volunteer recruitment.
