With the change in weather, we often retrieve those thoughts of changing how and where we live. For some it's gardening, for others it's a spot of DIY or bringing in the builders for major renovations. Whether you're considering a round of changes for your own benefit, or whether you are preparing your home for market, there are a number of considerations that can affect your legal status and your state of mind. For example, as of March 31st this year, home inspectors in BC are required to be licensed, carry insurance and complete a criminal record check. BC is the first province in Canada to insist on these changes. For more information visit the Business Practice and Consumer Protection Authority website or check out the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors.
